Dr. Hubert Work
There has been a lot of activity among our genealogists lately. Here's an interesting tidbit... I wrote recently about how my Great-great-grandfather died. It turns out that his attending physician was the man you see here.

Besides founding the hospital I mentioned, he served as president of the American Medical Association. Along with other accomplishments, Dr. Work served as the U.S. Postmaster General under President Warren G. Harding. He also served as U.S. Secretary of the Interior under both Harding and Calvin Coolidge. During his tenure as Secretary of the Interior, American citizenship was formally granted to Native Americans.

The quotes about my great-great-grandpappy were dictated by Dr. Work. It's interesting (for me) to ponder the interaction of these two men -- one of them slowly forgetting everything in the world, the other going on to significant accomplishments in American history.
